Found a Pit Bull?

Need our Help?

Unfortunately, we are unable to take in owner surrenders. BBR’s focus is primarily on strays and shelter dogs, the homeless dogs in the state of Alabama. We work directly with shelters and vets to help find loving forever homes for those dogs in need.

If you need assistance re-homing your dog, please look into placing a listing on Pit Bull Rescue Central’s “Owner Listing” page. However, we would much rather help you keep your dog. We are available by e-mail ( for training, medical, and behavioral advice. We will be happy to provide you with any suggestions we can for issues you might be having. If you still need to re-home your dog, please read Placing Your Pit Bull for Adoption.
